Philliber Research and Evaluation is searching for a talented evaluation researcher to lead a portfolio of evaluation projects in a wide range of content areas. Experience leading the design and implementation of evaluation projects with non-profit and social services clients is particularly desirable. Examples of the content areas evaluated by our senior team include: teen pregnancy prevention, early childhood development and education, physical and mental health, academic achievement, and international journalism. This full-time position requires a seasoned evaluation professional who is both comfortable working independently and leading virtual evaluation teams with clients across the country.
Position Responsibilities:
- Lead engagements with government, nonprofit, and social services clients.
- Manage project budgets and timelines so that projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Design and implement high quality evaluation research projects that meet client needs including randomized control trials, quasi-experimental designs, pre-post designs, and qualitative studies.
- Manage evaluation teams including internal and field staff.
- Contribute to business development by leading and supporting the writing of proposals.
- Present evaluation findings in reports, presentations, and publications for a variety of stakeholders.
Position Requirements:
- Doctorate degree preferred but will consider applicants with the highest degree in their field.
- 5+ years of experience leading evaluation and applied research projects. Experience leading randomized control trials or rigorous quasi-experimental designs is particularly desirable.
- Experience with client management and consulting.
- Strong quantitative research skills.
- Experience working in diverse communities and using culturally responsive evaluation and research methodologies.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills. The successful applicant for this position must be able to write and talk about their work to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a portfolio of 8+ projects at a time.
- Experience with statistical software packages (e.g., STATA, SPSS).
- Willing to travel up to 30%.
Desired Additional Requirements:
- Fluent Spanish language skills appreciated.
This is a work from home position. The successful candidate will be required to spend a week at our headquarter office in Accord, New York for onboarding and training, as well as travel to New York for biannual all-team meetings. The title and salary for this position will be based on experience.
The Program Evaluator title requires 5+ years of relevant experience and offers an anticipated base salary of $85,000 and up.
The Senior Research Associate title requires 10+ years of relevant experience and offers an anticipated base salary of $90,000 and up.
